PRO’S TIP
The first hole on the 'new' 9 is a Jekell & Hyde affair, stroke index 6 offers a big green with a substantial tiered elevation from front to back and a deceptive Right to Left slope as you reach this change. A front pin position is quite friendly, even a slightly short and right shot should feed towards the hole with a fair bounce, a back pin however has teeth, it will require a well struck and accurate tee shot to reach and hold the top tier, the pond to the left seems to have a waterey magnetic effect on golf balls and rarely gives up it's catch, the bunker to the Right is no easy option either should you miss the putting surface.
