Played here 7th July with the Swingersgolf society. The welcome that we got from the club on our arrival was fantastic very well organised now with new owners. The course was in fantastic condition and can not make a fault on the whole day. The staff very welcoming and also the members of the club are great. Its nice to hear members complementing our society outfits. After the golf we headed upstairs for a 2 course meal in which the new chef made was fantastic. Massive credit on the course within a year. Only problem is no pro shop so make sure you head to your local golf shop for your stuff. Think if had a pro shop this would make more appealing. But never the less this course has a lot to offer for golf societies and will be on our calendar for next year. Thanks for having us

On behalf of all who attended our Salver Day last Friday I'd like to say a big thank you to Wigan Golf Club for the part you played in making it such an enjoyable and memorable day.
The course was in superb condition. the food and service provided by your caterers were first class and the setting, the Clubhouse and the lawned area in front of the moat, added to the enjoyment. You even managed to organise perfect weather conditions.
This was our first Salver Day and the feedback I've received has been extremely positive so will you please let all of your staff know how delighted we were with everything.
You've set the bar pretty high so future venues will have a lot to live up to,
Once again, many thanks.

Just a quick note to say thank you to you and the club for another superb visit again yesterday. It was widely enjoyed by all and the feedback was very positive and I am sure will be reflected by our members views on our partners review site www.teeuplo.co.uk as they start to add them over the coming days. I am sure we will back to Wigan once again in 2019 and will be looking to book this later in the year when I sit down to sort our the calendar for next season.
Many thanks once again,

Dear Jen and Julie,
Just a few lines to let you know how much all the members enjoyed our day at Wigan Golf Club.
The course was in great condition considering the heat wave and was found by all to be a challenge. All the food we had was excellent, but the Steak Pie was to die for. A special THANKS must go to Andy, Marsha and the Steward who looked after us all day and where a credit to your Club.
We would not hesitate to come back or recommend you to any other Golfers.
Thanks for all your help and we hope to return in the not to distant future.

Played Wigan Golf Course with Swingers Society on Sunday 9th June. Excellent Course and good facilities. Fairways played really well and greens were consistently good throughout. Really enjoyed the course and will be looking forward to returning soon. Hopefully with a better back 9 performance. Enjoyed the food and hospitality afterwards also and cannot fault the way the Society was looked after.

Wigan Golf Club made a fine debut as they hosted an Alliance competition for the first time in [c] their long and distinguished history .Their impressive and scenic Arley Hall clubhouse backed by an excellent course, that survived the heavy rain of the previous day, was enjoyed by all players in another full and top quality Alliance field.
Alliance Captain Dave Smith, the Swinton Park professional, certainly had a day to remember with an outstanding double success. He posted ten birdies as he led in the professional individual scores with a superb haul of 43 points which took him clear of Phil Archer (Birchwood) 42 and Andy Palmer (Chorley) and Charlie Fletcher (Helsby),both 39.
Dave Smith found a great partner in the ever-reliable Jimmy O’Reilly (Swinton Park) who helped him to a massive 50 points which left them four clear of Phil Archer and his Leigh partner Mark Pasquill and Stamford Golf Club’s Mark Smith and Steve Moores.
Simon Stott and Peter Finch (Hindley Hall) topped the am am section with 43 points, one more than Peter Hamlett (Ashton-on-Mersey) and Mike Lynch (Chorlton) and Wigan’s Reece Cranfield and Phil Dermott.
Another highlight on the day saw Leigh assistant professional Sean Blinkhorn secure his first-ever ace. It came when his perfect pitching wedge tee shot on the 154-yard par three 15th hole arrowed its way into the hole.

Dear Julie, I am writing to thank you and Wigan Golf Club for the marvellous way that you hosted the Lancashire U16 Boys Championship on August 8th. It was a fantastic event in all respects with Wigan Golf Club going out of their way to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
The course was a credit to your Green Staff and your House team looked after us extremely well in the Clubhouse and particular thanks are due to yourself, Club Officials and members of your assistance throughout. Please convey these thanks to all who helped to make the event successful.
Finally can I offer my very best wishes to you and Wigan Golf Club for the remainder of 2016 and the future.

Just a quick e-mail to thank you and the Club for a superb visit we enjoyed on 31 July 2016. I have added a review of our day with lots of photographs and our finishing tables to our website page. I can say with some certainty that all of our members were impresed with not only the course, but with the warmth of welcome, the service, the food and the impressive Clubhouse.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank yourselves and all of your staff for assisting me on putting on our Charity Golf Day Event. Your pre-organisation and help on the day was the best I have experienced over the past 10 years of putting the event on. Yourselves and all of your staff, from office, bar to catering were extremely pleasant and approachable, so much so we will look to holding next years event again at your Club.
We managed to raise £2500 for PHAB club for handicapped children, the proceeds will go towards taking the children away for a weekend in the Lake District where they can participate in outdoor activities, that we all take for granted.
Thank you again

Just a word of thanks to all of the Staff, the Office Staff, Catering Staff and Manager. The Ladies from Pennington Golf Club in Leigh had a splendid day at your beautiful Golf Club. We enjoyed the food & service. We certainly enjoyed the golf and course is definitely challenging but having chosen to visit you on one of the warmest days of the summer, we all agreed that we had a good day out playing golf at Arley Hall.
