PRO’S TIP
One of the trickiest opening holes in the region, the stroke index of 10 belies the difficulty, if you hit to the correct distance then a relativley straight shot is a must! Out of Bounds to the Right is the Leeds Liverpool canal, a watery demise awaits a wayward tee shot over here. Trees line the first 120 yards or so on the Left of the hole & a steep slope beyond these trees will shepherd a longer ball towards the out of bounds on this side, especially in dry weather. Landing in the greenside bunker at the front left can be a good option. A par here is always a good score.
