Charity Golf Day - Friday 20th July
we are proud to announce that we are hosting a charity golf day on Friday 20th July with tee times between 0830 - 1430. This day was already set a side in the club diary as BMW Club Day and this will be rearranged.
As some of you may know Tony Sedgwicks son-in-law has been very fortunate to have a heart transplant after years of waiting, this unfortunately hasn’t gone as well as expected but the family are still hoping the fantastic surgeons can come up with a solution. This is an ongoing situation which has meant the whole family are splitting their time between Wigan and The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.
Due to the amazing support the family have received from the people at Freeman Hospital, we are looking to show our thanks by organising this charity golf day and wondering if you would like to come along and support us and the chosen charity selected by Tony's daughter, Louise. The charity support the families through the long term care and also the rehabilitation after.
Whilst the charity is based in Newcastle they don't give a second thought about who they help and we want to thank them for looking after one of our own members families.
DATE: Friday 20th July Tee times 8.30 - 2.30
CHARITY: Freeman Heart and Lung Transplant Association www.fhlta.org.uk
ENTRY: £160 per fourball – including Hog Roast meal on returning to the clubhouse.
FORMAT ; Best 2 from 4 on each hole - 90% handicap stableford
PRIZES: Team prizes, nearest the pin, nearest the pin in 2 on par 4 and also other spot prizes.
RAFFLE: Chance to win some great prizes.
To top the day off, Tony will also be arranging a very relaxed social night, no need to get suited and booted. Partners and none players are more than welcome to join us for the social evening.
Should you wish to enter a team or teams then please let Danny Ritchie or Tony Sedgwick (tony.sedgwick@bshg.com) know, also indicating a suitable tee time for you, so we can try and accommodate your request.
We are also looking for sponsors for the day so we can send a fantastic cheque to the charity. These packages start from £100 upto £500 for the main named sponsor and even if you cant make the day you are still able to show your support.
